Transnova is looking for curious and analytical problem-solvers to join its team through a 12-month development opportunity.
The programme is designed to develop the next generation of Operations Designers: people who can understand complex operations, analyse data and use technology, AI and automation to design smarter and more effective ways of working.
The opportunity is open to recent graduates and experienced professionals from a range of disciplines, with the potential for a long-term career at Transnova.
- Develop an understanding of complex business and supply chain operations.
- Collect, review and analyse operational data.
- Document processes, requirements and current ways of working.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency and performance.
- Explore AI and automation solutions.
- Support the design and implementation of operational improvement solutions.
- Work alongside consultants, engineers, operational excellence specialists and client teams.
- Document findings, recommendations, assumptions and proposed solutions.
- Assist with the preparation of reports, presentations and other client deliverables.

Who you are
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- An interest in data, technology, AI and automation.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Previous work experience is not essential, and recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
Preference may be given to applicants who meet the eligibility requirements of the Youth Employment Service (YES) programme. This generally includes unemployed Black South African youth between the ages of 18 and 34 who have not previously participated in the YES programme.
Candidates who do not meet the YES programme criteria are still encouraged to apply.
